PVR Rental reduced

As expected Dialog TV have reduced the rental for the PVR feature. This is a great move as they are now better positioned to market the service & have put the service within the reach of their subscribers. Although all of the channels on Dialog are not available for recording the number of channels available have increased from the channels available for recording at the initial launch of the PVR feature.

It is surprising to note that out of the local FTA channels none are available except for TNL on the PVR. Except for Euro Sports & Setanta Sports all other sports channels can be recorded.

This is indeed a positive move by Dialog and we believe that as soon as word spreads about the reduction of rental, we believe that there will be a positive response from subscribers who didn't subscribe to the service before due to the high rental.

Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress and on your PVR experience for those who have subscribed for the service.

DTV pls add TEN ACTION asap.. We've already missed CL qualifiers. It's a must. It's a standard for all Indian DTH providers. Because you don't have competition in Sri Lanka, don't think that your customers will tolerate your foolish strategies. If you'd have proper competition, we won't have to plead for these basic requirements..

yep peo tv added maraja networks but i think it is 25 % worthy for customer. we get pay television for watch international pay channels not to watch local fta channels

in near future peo tv will add tv lanka for their line up like this

this is not the meaning of pay television???

you have to think twice what is pay television???

i think presently dialog tv understand what is pay television ?

i think dtv should not waste their channel slots by adding channel one mtv to their line up

i think adding ten action and axn beyond channels are far more better than that

PeoTV technology allows the operator to know who & Who watching what & when accurately. Therefore Peo TV should know the popularity of the channels and for the whole country i would say the majority would watch Sinhala and Tamil channels but not the foriegn channels as asked by few bolggers. My friends numbers matter in this type of business and not the few who shout.

i think dialog also must add MBC channels to their lineup....MBC channels are far better than those bloody channels like citihits,CCTV,NHK world.

Here we go again with the idea that you not liking some channels means that "nobody" must like those channels.

However I agree that Ten Action+ should be added because it seems that many people want it. This shouldn't be at the expense of EuroSport though, because EuroSport has coverage of rarer sports which other broadcasters won't even think of showing. It's nice to watch some random European sport when there's nothing else on.

And by the way MBC channels are bull. Most of the programmes on Channel One can already be watched on DTV. Unless you are addicted to Fox News (which is another problem in itself). Sirasa programmes are mostly for the desperate people who are addicted to reality TV (this could apply to many local stations). I don't know much about Shakthi TV so I won't say anything about it. However these channels are not necessary on DTV or even Peo TV.

Peo TV is simply trying to look as if they have some new cool channels, but recasting local channels isn't very cool and is not filling any gap in their service. They need more cable channels. They're still trailing DTV in that matter.

Besides, a couple of years ago MBC said that their channels would never be recast on any cable/DTH network. I believe that they were planning on launching their own DTH service at the time. Now that the market is a bit saturated they've probably given up those plans, so now perhaps they gave "exclusive" rights to Peo TV.

Dialog TV crapping on Ten Cricket.. when i called the trained pupet told " sir it was done by advertising agency we just retransmit".. what a bulshit story.. if i want all this distraction i can get it for free on channel eye.

Crapping on Ten Cricket is the right word. watching ten cricket when a SL match is on is a real headache. TO extract every rupee they can DTV is putting so much adds and crawlers it's really frustrating. I think as customers we should all complain to C/C about this behavior which is really unacceptable
