Comedy Central made permanent fixture with sync issue

According to reports being received Comedy Central has been taking out of testing mode and has been made the permanent replacement to BBC Entertainment. Sadly however the sound is out of sync with the video and hasn't been sorted out. This has been a problem from the time Dialog TV was testing the channel and hasn't been resolved as yet.

The Dialog TV website however hasn't been updated and still carries "BBC Entertainment" as a bonus channel in the HD pack. This leaves us wondering whether Dialog TV is still toying with the idea of making Comedy Central as a permanent replacement to BBC Entertainment or whether they just plain forgot to update the website just like they overlooked the video to sound syn issue.

We also take this opportunity to thank Dialog for resolving the technical problem that prevented Dialog subscribers from accessing this blog or any other "blogspot.com" blog for the past several days. We apologose to all our fellow bloggers who were unable to access this blog and regret any inconvenience caused.

We kindly request all our bloggers who are on Facebook and Twitter to kindly include us in their social media circles to keep abreast on the latest happening in the industry.

Sony's press release said: This year, the cricketing world’s biggest extravaganza the Pepsi Indian Premier League 2013 (IPL) is all set to take the nation by storm as Multi Screen Media (MSM) announced simulcast of the event on both MAX & its premium entertainment sports channel SIX.

Given the diverse & all - pervasive viewership of the IPL, the MSM group will offer the viewer, options to watch their favourite IPL 2013 on a Standard Definition (SD) feed on MAX and a High Definition (HD) feed in English and a SD feed in Hindi on SIX.

Dialog must listen to its high paying customers or they will loss rest like me...I pay 2700 to dialog now i pay just 1300 for platinum package....

For a footie or cricket fan, I guess moving to an Indian D2H feed with mutiple HD channels for sports makes sense.
The initial outlay will be more than amply covered by savings over 12 months.

However, for a rugby fan (like me) there is no relief in moving to Indian D2H, as there are no service providers with Setanta or SuperSports :(

With Indian service providers now seemingly openly encouraging other regional customers to use their services - in the lack of any visible regulation - it seems that local D2H providers will be feeling the effect sooner rather than later, if they somehow fail to add more value - even if at additional cost.

@Dul Sam: good to know that buddy! All these being shown live? Must look in to this further to find if Super 15/Championship and other international tours are also included. If so, not many reasons to stick fast to DTV.

Found my answer;

Anyhow, wonder how they are going to manage any clashes with IPL etc. Guess they will prioritize cricket.
