Aarti TV replaces Shruthi TV and new package rates

Hindu Channel Aarti TV has replaced Hindu Channel Shruthi TV. It looks like more of a case of Shruthi TV has been renamed to Aarti TV. The change happened on October 27th 2008 which was when Hindu's celebrated Deepavali.

In other news it seems that Dialog TV is increasing rentals for packages purchased after Nov 1st. The new rates are as follows

Lite 500 (same channels as Lite 100 / 250)
Super 700 (same channels as Super 500)
Great 1375 (same channels as Great 1099)
Value Plus 1949

Once notable exclusion is the Value 1499 package which comes in between the Great 1375 and Value Plus 1949 packages. Either this package has been discontinued or we may have not received the new package rate as yet.

The MPEG4 changeover has not taken place and we believe that it will take place as soon as Dialog replaces all premium decoders and has their broadcast systems ready.

Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.

@ Sanjan,

Way did you asy like that? Will we loose our investment on DTV (I ment the decorder chargers)

Will any other comapny going to take over DTV? One of my friends told me a story like that... But not sure.....

sanjan said...

@nokia
no, i just wanted to tell rupavahini that there wont be any more new features on DTV. i dont have much reliable information on that. one of my friends who do research on satellite tv told that dialog tv is running with great loss and covering it from mobile. but now mobile also running with difficulty and to continue the company they might sell DTV. beleive me , dialog GSM now has only 3 million customers maximum.

As per reliable sores I got to know that Dialog is having 5 million subscribers. And there is no any loss on mobile service but a profit. And I personally don’t want to use any connection except for Dialog. As they are having a good coverage and a reasonable tariff (finally ) And their service is superb comparing to others. Don’t know what Airtel offers. But Still I don’t think I’ll migrate..
I got to know that Dialog TV is going to issue two connections for 12500.00 near future with the new package tariffs.
Any news on that keep informed

You are so loyal to Dialog. Do you know that Mobitel has grabed almost one million customers in last few months and Dialog YoY profits have declined almost 50% group 75%. Start feeling about the values you get and compare what you would get from others...

IPTV
Don’t Talk about Mobitel...
Their first presentation at their convention was “Dialog Share has gone down” And all clapped on that…..
But in a company convention you should show the achievement of the Company not the share price of another competitor.
And the share has gone down for most of the companies due to the current economy crisis…..

Mobitel is out of my way with the attitude that they have… Sorry…

Let’s try Airtel and see…. If they can compare Dialog Mobile service..

Nokia,

What is the Mobitel convention you refere. We changed our coporate package to Mobite and now we are payng aroud 75% with additional features. With competition from Mobitel only Dialog started thinking on reducing tariff to a certain extend. Even now Huch & Tigo too offer better rates and Tigo has a good coverage. Earlier dialog boasted about launching at least one product evermonth but they are silent now. Lets see wht they would do with Airtel.

BUT TAKING MONEY BANK IS NOT EASY ! I'VE BEEN WAITING MORE THAN A MONTH TO GET MY MONEY BACK! BUT STILL NOT.
THEY MUST BE COLLECTING AND INVESTING OUR MONEY! ITS DIALOG ! U KNOW!

Dear All,

Just came from BMICH - INFOTEL 2008. Dialog | HDTV Demo is Awsome...

sanjan said...

@mw
you are 100% correct.

@nokia
will dialog people cry if mobitel shares down in future? dont be emotional.

@transporter
dialogs all demonstrations are good. but they cant impliment those, because they try to give customers minimum thing and expecting big profit.

@ MW, hw do u knw the figures? Ru working for Dialog or Manager of HSPA? Haha…

Dude, Trust me, I’ am also using the same HSPA connection for the last 1 ½ month.
Before go to the HSPA deal, one Dialog Customer service officer (can’t remember the name) has explain the whole story clearly that the 7.2 speed is not available in all area. But the user can enjoy the minimum speed of 1 or 2mbps. (Depending on 3G coverage).

Now I’ am located in Polhengoda (Co-05) & enjoying the 2+ speed without any issue.
Pls Note: I have disconnect my Mobital HSDPA connection some time back, because of the bad service & speed issue. Also just for your information, I’ am a web master & working 18/7.

May be ur spy of Mobitel.
