4th Transponder activated again

As of last friday Dialog TV have reactivated the 4th transponder. At the moment a duplicate "The Buddhist" television channel is being broadcast over it and the others show as "E16 : Scrambled". It looks like either Dialog is gearing up to move into MPEG4 or they should move some existing channels onto TP 4 in order to improve quality on TP 1,2 & 3.

Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.

I don't know about the quality as I have never seen MPEG 4 TV broadcast. But quantity wise MPEG 4 tranponder can have more channels than MPEG 2 transponder as MPEG 4 is more compressed.

Don't forget Tata sky is using 12 transponder to telecast 145 channels. That means about 12 channels for a transponder.

Currently Dialog is using only 3 transponders to show 56 channels. That is around 19 channels for a transponder. That's why Dialog picture quality is not that goodg compared to Tata Sky.

// OFF TOPIC PUBLISH ON THE NATIONAL INTEREST \\

China Sri Lanka Pakistan Bangaldesh Nepal Maldives Partnership
To Defeat Indian Infulance in South Asia Region.

China is steadily extending its reach into South Asia with its growing economic and strategic influence in the region. China's current trade volume with Sri Lanka Pakistan Bangladesh Nepal Maldives
Reaches close to $20 billion a year. China makes up for these trade deficits with massive investment in the infrastructural development, socio-economic needs, and above all energy production of its trade partners.
China has offered Pakistan and Bangladesh nuclear power plants of its own to meet their energy needs. Beijing also showers these nations with low-cost financial capital to help their struggling development sector. The largest beneficiaries of this economic aid are Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Maldives in that order.

China has deepened its strategic influence in the region, especially with India's immediate neighbors – Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives.
Bangladesh is a doorway into India's turbulent northeastern region, including the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, to which China lays territorial claims. More importantly, Bangladesh is believed to be causing a seismic demographic shift in another northeastern state, Assam, where Indian leaders claim some 20 million Bangladeshis have moved in. Indian officials fear the emergence of Assam as the second Muslim-majority state within the Indian union, after the state of Jammu and Kashmir. [2] Above all, China prizes Bangladesh for its immense natural gas reserves (60 trillion cubic feet) which rival those of Indonesia. Bangladesh's geographic proximity with Myanmar makes these reserves accessible to China. India's access to Myanmar's gas reserves also hinges on Dhaka's willingness to allow a passage for laying a gas pipeline – a fact not lost on Beijing.
Nepal has little energy potential to tempt Beijing, but its strategic location between China and India makes it just as important. Nepal's borders meet China's restive western province of Tibet on the one hand, and Naxalite-dominated Indian states on the other. [3] Nepal's Maoist insurgents, who control the vast swath of the countryside, have cross-border links with Naxalite Maoists in India as well. Almost 40% of India's 593 districts are, to a degree, under Naxalite influence. As a result, both China and India vie for Katmandu's favor. Since the replacement of Nepal's democratic government with an absolute monarchy in February of this year, India has cold-shouldered Nepal's King Gyanendra, while China has dismissed the seizure of power as an "internal matter". [4] In return, China wants the new ruler to stay clear of any foreign (Indian or the U.S.) influence that could make trouble in Tibet. To further the goal of status quo in Tibet, China is integrating Nepal into the Tibetan economy, and laying a highway that will connect the two.

China cherishes exclusive friendly relations with Sri Lanka, which occupies a strategically important heft of the Indian Ocean stretching from the Middle East to Southeast Asia. China's recent entry into oil exploration in Sri Lanka, participation in development of port and bunker facilities at Hambantota, involvement in infrastructure development, strengthening military cooperation and boosting bilateral trade with Sri Lanka. China has emerged as the biggest donor to Sri Lanka. The New York Times reported last week that Chinese assistance to the Sri Lanka has grown fivefold in the last year to nearly $1 billion.
Construction work on a new deep water port at Hambantota worth $ 360 million has already begun with Chinese assistance. The Chinese eagerness to participate in the Hambantota project is not just about economy but also linked to Sri Lanka's strategic location near strategic sea lines of communication. Many believe it is also about China's eagerness to undertake a strategic presence close to Indian shores.
Sri Lanka allocated an exploration block in the Mannar Basin to China for exploring oil resources. China is also determined to reduce the trade deficit with Sri Lanka by making all efforts to explore the Sri Lankan market and increase the volume of imports from Sri Lanka. Bilateral trade between two countries made significant growth last year. The remarkable friendship between the two countries is evident in the proposed Norocholai Coal Power Plant and the construction of highways in the island nation. China is also planning to offer more concessions to Sri Lanka within the next two and half years under the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA) which will cover over 2,000 products being exported to China from Sri Lanka.

Pakistan's strategic significance is, nevertheless, priceless for China. Although a smaller nation, Pakistan rivals India in unconventional weapons. It has long denied India access to western and Central Asian nations, while at the same time literally paving the highway – Karakoram – for Beijing's direct access to Eurasia. Above all, it has tied down 500,000 to 700,000 Indian troops in the Kashmir Valley for the past 15 years. By keeping hundreds of thousands of Indian troops engaged in Kashmir, Pakistan indirectly helps ease India's challenge to China's defenses on their disputed border. More importantly, Pakistan emboldens the region's smaller economies to stand up to India and seek Chinese patronage, which hurts India's stature in the region.

Chinese naval base in Maldives
China has planned to establish a naval base in Marao Islands near Maldives in the Indian Ocean by 2010 and deploy nuclear-powered submarines fitted with submarine-launched Dong Feng-44 missiles and submarine-launched ballistic missiles officials disclosed.

In view of China's eagerness to join the South Asia Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)
Which presently represents the eight nations in South Asia.
China’s entry in to SAARC Fully Supported by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Maldives.

Guys what is your Comments about China Sri Lanka Pakistan Bangladesh Nepal Maldives Partnership to Defeat Indian Influence in South Asia Region?
