Sony's beTV being tested

Sony's beTV formerly called AXN Beyond is being tested in place of BBC Entertainment in the Dialog TV HD pack according to reports reaching us. BBC Entertainment which ceased broadcasting into the region towards the end of last month. Initially Dialog TV tested "Comedy Central" as a possible replacement, which was the Indian edition. The beTV feed will be the asian feed since this channel hasn't been launched in India as yet.

We hope that a suitable replacement for BBC Entertainment will be confirmed as soon as possible.

yes no new channel for the NON HD users and CSN channel blocked when there is a live cricket match. therefore CSN is null and void.

betv is a good channel with the content they are showing..

  10. Just a question,As for the PrePaid Service...
Even the so called post paid dialog TV customers are paying their bill in advance. Isn't it?

So effectively the name "Pre Paid" is applicable for all Dialog tv customers I guess?

  13. @ rupavahini

I wonder what channels will be replaced ???

  14. @Rupavahini; Are you SURE..??? adding one ch from MBC can be expected but how they can add all three..?? there is hardly space for one TV ch in DTV chs line up. if DTV to introduce all MBC TV chs definitely DTV has to take out two existing CHs... so what is going to replace...
Of course there are chs which are really crappy (ITN, CSN, ..)and can be taken out without a Hazel. So we'll wait and count what is gonna happened...

  15. I guess the DTV test channel (which sits in the midst of local channels)will get replace by one - if it's sirasa. I also honestly cannot fathom how we can get more than 1 channel from MBC without replacement.

(Nor do I want the MBC channels there .. but that's a personal view) :P

  21. You will get some Srilankan channels free of charge from Carlton DTH when China Sat 12,Mr.Manivanan’s Supreme Sat started transmission. Don’t think Siyatha TV & Sirasa TV on that.

  22. @Paton..everybody trying to make stories here.. I am not sure how CSN is going start a DTH service as they do not posses a valid licence. (however under CHINTHANA REGIME, anything can happen in thier favor) even if they start a DTH service it should be C band one (in which you require a bigger dish, at least 6 feet compare to 60cm dish being used by Dialog or any other KU band based DTH providers) because in CHAINASAT-12, there is NO KU band beam covering Sri Lanka but it has only a C band foot print. So CSN must do some majic on getting DTH service then..
