According to reports, Dialog TV will be launching their prepaid service from 1st Oct 2012. At present the launch date is tentative but it's likely to be on or around that date. We are unable to confirm how the service will be priced but it seems that the unit will cost around Rs 10,000 exclusive of installation.
It's likely that Dialog may charge seperately for installation. The reload rates are not available as yet but should be available as the launch date draws near.
This service is definitely capable of making the connections affordable & within the reach of many middle class Sri Lankans. Whether the prepaid pay television service would be as successful as prepaid mobile/broadband services is yet to be seen but there is no reason why it shouldn't be. We urge Dialog to take extra care when pricing this product, because the success or failure of this service will depend solely on the pricing.

Still there is no sign in adding StarCriket HD atleast for the t20 World Cup.... How stupid is Dialog as teh event is hapening here in Sri Lanka they dont take any action to telecast the event on HD platform. :(

ReplyDeleteI think adding ten hd is a great move but replacing it with AXN was a bad move if they can't give more than 5 channel they would haave replace with NGC OR DISCOVERY. They should add axn or star world soon. If not it's balance enough of hd channels.

WT** why did they remove AXN HD. New Tv series coming next Month. We NEED AXN HD ASAP before OCTOBER. NO NEED TEN HD FULL TIME. ESPN HD is enough. Keep the channel as they were.

@marlon you can't tell that no need ten hd. live sport is the only reason that many customers using dialog tv. I'm so happy that people at dialog finally understand that.

@priyantha yes macho axn better than star world. I think axn is more expensive than star world for dialog cz they televise Asian feed of axn. any how 1 channel should be there for drama series.

ReplyDeleteNot only Dialog even Dish TV India does not have Star Cricket HD (Although they have 40+ HD & Upscale channels).
If majoy player like Dish TV can't get Star Cricket HD (all other DTH services have this channel) we won't be able to expect Dialog to get this channel.
@Dul sam I can tell whatever I want & its my opinion. Without any notification they removed the best channel AXN HD. My openion is that no need another sports channel 24/7. ESPN HD is the best sports channel.

Live sports is the only reason I got dialog tv in first place.and add ESPN hd the reason I got hd pack.
live sports are so much greater than outdated movies or drama series.
I think dialog MUST time share Cricket matches. No need another sports channel full time. Time share solves ever ones problems or they should keep the channel line up as they were before..
