According to unconfirmed reports Dialog TV has commenced the testing of FOXCRIME & KIDSCO TV. We are not sure whether all Dialog TV subscribers are able to view this channel but we hope that our fellow bloggers out there will give us information on whether these channels are still scrambled or not.
We believe that FOX CRIME & KIDSCO TV are channels that are available on the asian feed.

How can you take a such screenshot ? What is the decoder you use. Please contact us at dialogtv@yahoo.com and enlighten us on the issue cause none of us can watch these channels except heritage tv.

Not a standard DTV decoder. So none of us can view the channel like that at this very moment.
This is some underground work. So open your eyes to the DTH reception techniques.
May be you are already familliar with certain events which i cannot express here.
I think it is from a Dreambox. From Dreambox you can get a screenshot.
May be New premium members can watch those channels.

Yes these screenshots taken via dreambox. CH8 & CH9 won't be available to Dialog TV Subscribers until Dialog activating them. It will take sometime I guess.
This is not a good place to discuss much about dreambox. So use google to find a proper place for it.

What I have is DM600 PVR. But the same image can be taken ven if you have DM500. Because the image is taken from a software installed in the PC.

I have a old 1400 (supposed to be full package) connection and a 100/= connection.
Today I received a letter increasing my 100/= rental to 199/=, a 100% increase; quite unfair to my mind.
If they increase the 1400/= in anyway, it becomes worthwhile for me to goto PEOTV, I am holding to DTV only because for the same cost of PEOTV full package, I get DTV with more channels.
Anybody else got such letters?

Dialog Telekom too has changed their logo. it's similer to axiata logo.
This will be an additional cost to Dialog at the time they are trying to manage their cost.....
But I dont see this new logo except for the DTV PG for May. Even the Dialog Web has not changed to the new logo... :)
I actually heard something totally different from a friend on the inside. Maybe its a rumor circulating inside Dialog cuz on the top management seem to know about it. So i dont wanna spill anything on the blog until i know its true.

From DTV to PEO!
I was an old CBN Sat customer and continued to be a Dialog TV subscriber till to date. I believed that we could really exert pressure on DTV to increase the quality of their services and the company will make a genuine effort to increase its valued subscriber base. Sadly, it was not the case to be.
They just ill treated CBN Sat customers by creating another premier customer category and adding more channels to them while just ignoring the old CBN Sat market leaders. After all, CBT Sat customers are the market leaders in pay tv industry in Sri Lanka.
I understood that the company needs to make money to add more value to the customers. I changed over to the higher premium package from CBN Sat package. I received UTV Hindi, UTV English, Baby TV and Bloomberg as extra. That was in November 2008 (within last seven months, nothing happened!). After that, no new foreign TV channels were added, even at an extra cost. MPEG4 conversion, which they gave as an excuse for not adding new channels and other services also did not take place. In other words, DTV has made promises but done nothing to fulfil them. My expectations were shattered as a result.
Now, I have taken a PEO TV connection. I am pretty excited about it. Unlike DTV, they are doing something, even though it is not the best and the most organized service. Features such as TSTV are exiting even though it is still available for few local and foreign channels. Picture quality is quite good. However, they can do much more to improve the VoD collection. At the moment, it only has few teledramas and no English movies. Hope they will correct those issues soon. Channel collection is modest and can be improved. But they have some good channels which DTV does not have such as the Travel Channel, BBC Entertainment etc. They need to add channels like Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and ESPN.
PEO TV has a way to go, but with PEO, I have some hope of improvement. With DTV, its nothing. So, I am turning to PEO and planning to disconnect my DTV by end of May. If you ask me whether you should do the same, I would say just wait for another month or two to gauge the actual direction of PEO. I was really interested in bringing down the cost too. But I am glad I did it and hope they would continuously improve their services and listen to their customers unlike DTV.
Dialog TV Confirms testing of Fox Crime and KidsCo TV.
Recently i called over at the Dialog call center and inquired about these two channels. They confirmed that the channels were on testing process and are temporarily broadcasted as a test transmission. however the management has not decided as to whether these channels should be added to the packages or not. If you REALLY want these channels.. make sure you call the call center and keep inquiring as this will pressurise them to add channels. It worked in the past for the Star Package and UTV, there is no reason why it shouldn't work now. Also when your calling, inquire regarding Channel E! which they promised they'd introduce by end September 20081 but didnt do so! Also press for the inclusion of the Disney Channel. If all us subscribers get together and pressure the company to add these channels, it will DEFINITELY WORK as in the past. Good luck to all!

HTV filled in a huge gap Sri Lanka had. They seems to have very good programming about Sri Lanka and Mr. Hema Nalin is a person whom we can trust for that. Look at what had happened to swarnavahini after he left. its gone to dogs now !
I sincerely wish and hope that HTV will truly be the "Pride of Sri Lanka"
