According to information being received it seems that TBO has been taken off air and will be replaced by "Zee Music" from tomorrow onwards just over a year after "TBO" was introduced on Dialog TV.
The replacement may be due to the lack of interest in the channel by the poorly catered to Tamil subscribers on Dialog TV. However instead of replacing "TBO" with another Tamil channel, Dialog chooses to replace it with a Hindi music channel called "Zee Music". The logic or the lack of logic behind this cannot be explained but we expect a silly excuse soon enough.

My brother bought new DTV connection with 999/= package. I was surprised when I noticed he has received OLD "CBNSat"decorder with CBNSat emblam. I'm not sure it is used one but definitly DTV now reselling our previous decorders.

previously VAT % was 17%.then it reduced to 15%Accordingly they should
have reduced our bills.(since they charge VAT directly from us.But now effective from 01/01/2008 VAT reduced to 12%.so accordingly they have to reduce the bill.its illegal

I've recently got a DTV connection and i also got an OLD "CBN Sat" decorder...!! And later i found that some menu features are not available in that...The most important feature which is missing is that you don't get a small preview window of the right hand side when u enter into menu..!!
So wut can i do for that? Are they replacing old decorders with new ones...??
I hope that English FA cup is available with Euro Sports in Peo TV. It has many football & Rugby. It would be one method to see it

Hay guys Happy New Year …. I also got the DTV connection with the OLD CBN SAT decoder. And some functions in the remote controller is not working. The decoder looks like used one. When I asked them they(the filed staff) told me this is what dialog gave them to install.. also got a bill on 02-01-2009 with a payment due date of 30-12-2008 ??? the even post the bill on 30-12-2008. ???

Why DTV is allocated FTA channel to their higher packages. According to letter from Asset media (Pvt.)Ltd on 15th January 2007 they promised to add all Zee channel to our packages at No extra cost. But today.... They added Zee Music to 1375/= package onwards. Why DTV change their past promises.... What a bullshit Management... Hey,,,, DTV add Zee Music to your 500/= who is purchased before packages up grade. Because this is a FTA channel. And DTV replace this channel with payed TBO channels.
Pls. mentioned Zee Music is currently not available for 500/= Value package which is introduced last year special promotion on valentine. (2008 February) This package purchased only previous DTV customers. So they are allow to view ZEE Music channel with this packages. Pls. do something to add Zee music channel to this package........

what is the dtv package u got? i think they r giving old decoders for people who get the packages without HBO channels (mpeg 4). if they still give old decorders for even ppl with HBO channels then this mpeg4 switch is a total trick!
I saw the first Airtel advertisement on TV this morning... Shahruk Khan is there saying " Hello Sri Lanka". The background music is the same one used in the Indian Airtel ads...( Nyone 1 having DTV should know the Airtel ads shown on Dtv channels )
It is sponsoring the hourly news bulletin of Rupavahini....
airtel is commnecingoperations on the 12th of january.. It was stated in the above ad....

All the adds has to be in local channels and DTV is only a way of receiving loacl channels... It's not Funny thing to have Airtel Adds on DTV. Even Mobitel, Hutch, Tigo adds and there programms also there on DTV. Infutured you may get Airtel sponsored programms on DTV and all local chanells :)
I dont think AirTel can break Dialog & Mobitel. thair target may be Tigo & Hutch.
We all have good & bad experience from both Dialog & Mobitel. At the END of the day the Service is very good comparing with those days.
More than that no one is going/ willing to terminate their OLD own Numbers.

u can get an airtel connection free by just handing over a NIC copy for prepaid or NIC and billing proof for post paid. u can even choose ur own number 075 7XXXXXX. sorry for going off topic.

Machan number portability is NOT coming in February. It might not come to Sri Lanka this year or the next, judging by the reluctance of main stakeholders Dialog and Mobitel for this move (for obvious reasons). And TRC is really dragging its feet on this one. It is one of the hardest mobile policies to implement in any country and I'm pretty sure it was not there in India.
Really sorry for going off topic - but just to clear a misconception.

Check Sky ports with Peo guys. There channel line up is more biased fro european channels. But not in there comming soon
Dialog TV Software upgrading announcement!
when you do a channel re scan - it indicates the presence of a single Radio channel in addition to TV channels. may be Dialog is planning to add radio channels again. but when you switch to the Radio channel using TV/Radio button on the remote it only shows the word RADIO on the screen but no sound!. may be they are just testing

u can do manualy.. go to menu & click the IRD upgrade button.

I never received any automated message by DTV saying about any software upgrade and so didn't keep the decoder on...
