Our deepest congratulations goes out to the CEO of Dialog Telekom and COO of Telekom Malaysia Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya for being nominated as LMD's "Sri Lankan of the Year".
No matter what anyone would say we believe Dr. Hans deserves this award and even though this post has been made late due to the some other work that we were involved in, it is better late than never so "Congratulations Sir".
We wish you all the best in your future endeavors at Dialog Telekom, Telekom Malaysia and we hope that you will continue your services in this country.
Dr. Hans has been greatly intrumental in bringing Dialog to great heights from just being a mobile communications operator and expanding to various other businesses such as pay television, fixed line and broadband operations. Despite all the risks involved in pay television and the industry being in its infancy and all business analysts predicting that pay television is a difficult business in Sri Lanka and may never work Dr. Hans has taken up the challenge of taking over a sealed pay television operation and running its operations.
We believe that Dialog TV would become the biggest revenue earner for Dialog Telekom provided that the company improves its customer relationship and becomes an innovator in the field of pay television.

I do not congratulate Dr Hans because I do not see the all five new channels --- simply because they are not scrambled but having a quality rate over 50% just cannot see them
When I call dialog they say just wait and see as these channels are not charged not to worry. They have a band width problem!!!

Anybody know what happened to the MPEG-4 Conversion Is it yet another postponement?

it was just another gimmick played by DTv to transfer the ownership of the decorder to themselves.
I think Radikal Zee is right regarding the ownership.
i called and asked DTV cc two times regarding MPEG4 conversion. Once a girl answered and told me only star movies and HBO are on MPEG 4. And the other time a Boy answered told me all the channels are MPEG4 Now !!!.
so anyway to my naked eyes only Star movies and HBO have the good clarity.

none of the channels are on MPEG-4 at the moment! If DTV CC to you differently it just goes to show the messed up situation at DTV with one hand not knowing what the Other is doing!
If Indi or any dialog guy is looking at this blog we would like your comments on when the MPEG-4 conversion is going to take place
