From midnight to 6am last night Dialog TV was off air for maintenance which has resulted in the first day of maintenance being completed. We are not sure whether there are any visible changes to the Dialog TV transmission. There may or may not be since we are unable to clarify the nature of the maintenance being carried. Some unconfirmed information suggests that the upgrade is to start HDTV & MPEG4 testing which is supposed to commence commercially in a couple of months. However we are unable to confirm this.
We also hoped that the problems such as the pixelation problem that plagued the HBO channels would be sorted. We hope that if not today it will sorted out during the second day of maintenance scheduled for midnight on the 14th till 5am on the 15th.
We hope any of our bloggers who have access to their Dialog TV connections will be able to scan their system and confirm whether there are any visible changes to the transmissions or is everything the same, just as it was before.
We also noticed that the Nat Geo programme guide is wrong and should be sorted out soon. There are some frequent interruptions on Australia Network which should be sorted out soon.
Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.

off topic - What an attitude the customer care guys have puhhh. i am without the DTV connection from last thursday, they had been promising me today, today , today for the last five days. when i called today cc says there is a comment it will be fixed whin 48 hours, which is wednesday, and he says today the day is not over and you can wait! i wanted to taLK TO A manager he did not put me though. what a bloody attitude these guys have. is this what is called excelent service??? we must be shot for buying dtv when there are other options.
the above comment is not for a new connection its to fix the problem i have with my decoder.
Tarzy..
IF DTV CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO SHOT THEMSELVES FOR DTV CUSTOMER SERVICE, HALF OF THE DTV CUSTOMERS ARE DEAD AND GONE BY NOW.
SO DONT WORRY...
STAY COOL.
AXN Volume is low compared to other channels
If you are not satisfy with any of Dialog services you can email them on service@dialog.lk I think this goes to a high position at Dialog.
They will contact you. We should be served well in getting their services. We pay thie salary. So they should respect us. I think that GSM service is far more better than DTV. DTV has to improve that.
They should not take in any of the school leavers for customer service as they are having the hot blood not the Service!!!
LORD "MOTTA" ROMESH ANTHONY HAS BEEN SENT HOME BY DTV,WE KNEW IT WAS COMMING AS FOR THE TALKS HE WAS GIVING.
waz up
Noticed the DTV logo on all channels since yesterday ?
Funny thing is on my new decoder has it, the CBNSAT one dosent display it.
Anyone else having the same story ?
