It has been quite sometime since the last post that we made on this blog. Our apologies for our sudden disappearance but we are happy that the members of this blog made sure that this place stays continually updated.
It seems that the much awaited replacement for Zone Reality will be NDTV Good Times a lifestyle channel. However a higher quality channel such as BBC Entertainment, AXN Beyond or Disney Channel would have been a better choice. This is once again an excellent example of channel choice by Dialog TV management who have decided to go with an Indian channel instead of a higher quality one.
It also seems that Dialog TV is preparing for the launch of HDTV in response to the challenge posed by IPTV. Lets hope that it is accompanied with some price reductions.
Please keep us updated with the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.

ReplyDeleteI am also a DTV user. Please read and study features that can deliver through DTH and IPTV. The said features are deliverd from not multicast from unicast. I am also waiting DTVs HD delivery, But at What Cost. Please note DTV is still at a loss. Beakevan at 500000 customers at present cost .so With HD tv ??? I belive dialog is not for charity

HI, I GOT NEWS FROM MY FRIEND, sat lanka CHGS FOR big tv & TATA SKY, Installation & received (Big tv) SL RS.35000/- (India Rs.1000/-) and TATA SL RS.30000/- (India Rs.1500/-) how is diff both place, why satnet can't thing people.

Dialog TV is replacing zone reality with some nasty indian channel, no more pair, kair hay stuff pls. We already have enough indian channels. The whole STAR network is 90% hindi. Discovery channel is 50% hindi. even CNN shows some hindi stuff. Please introduce some good europian chanels. AXN beyond or something like that. Hope SLT IPTV can fulfill this hole in Sri Lankas pay TV soul. cos enough is enough........!

NDTV Good Times is NOT a Hindi Channel. Is something similar to ZEE CAFE

ReplyDeleteCan DTV give european channels? I don't think so. If they do the Monthly rental will be increased to around 5000.
DTV should increase in the picture quality first. I think DTV have better lineup than other Indian Operators but the quality is very poor.

ReplyDeleteExcept for AXN beyond & BBC entertainment I think they have a pretty good line up better than most of the Indian operators but the quality really,really sucks!
The quality issue has been around for a long long time but DTV has done absolutly nothing to rectify it! This should be priority number 1 for DTV
Its 7.30 a.m. now on July 1st, but not yet seized the channel Zone Reality? if its fake alarm or they change their mind?

maybe dth networks in the region have pulled out of contracts with the channel, we may never know!!!

According to the informationm, the reason for the cease is no revenue from India & Pakistan side, due to Illegal satellite & cable providers.

ReplyDeleteAlthough Dialog TV was so hurry to replace ZONE REALITY with NDTV Good Times, Indian DTHs Tata Sky & Dish TV still have ZONE REALITY channel.

ReplyDeleteOfficially Zone reality team has confirmed the withdrawal of Asian feed.
Now the Repeat telecast is available till tomorrow & also they have already officially informed to the DTH providers to take off the channel from the list.
Dear all: NDTV GOOD TIMES is not a Hindi channel & contents available in 100% English. (NDTV Good times channel look like Discovery Traveling & Leaving)
