Cartoon Network Asia replaces Cartoon Network India

As of yesterday Cartoon Network returned to Dialog TV after being off air for almost more than one week and to everyone's surprise it was the Asian Edition (available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand) instead of the Indian version. This is great news since the Indian version was riddled with Hindi programmes and now it is bye bye Hindi cartoons at least for Cartoon Network viewers on Dialog TV.

We hope that "Cartoon Network Asia" is here to stay and "Cartoon Network India" is gone for good. If the change is temporary then Dialog should make sure that they come into an agreement with Cartoon Network and make this permanent. Dialog should also take steps to replace "Nick India" with "Nick Asia" since "Nick India" is worse than "Cartoon Network India".

We take this opportunity once again to wish our Bloggers and Dialog TV Management & Staff "A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2008".

Please keep us updated with the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.

Merry Christmas - Happy New Year 2008 and more

The last few days have been eventful for Dialog TV subscribers with the removal of SRTV and the technical failure at Cartoon Network. SRTV is to be replaced by another Tamil channel supposedly known as TBO (Tamil Box Office). We hope that this replacement is activated soon and hopefully Cartoon Network sorts out problems at their end.

We like to take this opportunity to wish our Bloggers, the Management and Staff of Dialog TV and Dialog Telekom "A Very Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year 2008".

Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV throughout this festive season and into the New Year.

"CiTi HiTz" launch today, some new developments

With the launch of the first local pay television channel "CiTi Hitz" on channel 26 scheduled for today there seems to some other things also in store for Dialog TV subscribers. First of all more information on this new channel can be obtained at -TV Radio Sri Lanka : Sri Lanka's first 24 hour Pay television Channel "CiTi HiTz" launches today-.

It seems that Dialog GSM subscribers can take part in competitions held over international channels via Dialog Port Number 9988. We are not sure whether subscribers of other pay television platforms who own Dialog GSM connections could also do the same. According to information being received, initially Dialog subscribers will be able to take part in competitions held during English Premier League football matches shown on ESPN-Star Sports and we hope that these are extended to AXN promotions as well as to other channel promotions.

According to other information being received Dialog TV are supposed to have enhanced Video quality on the platform. In addition SRTV will be removed on approximately the 20th of December 2007 and replaced with another Tamil Language Channel. SET Max has been replaced with SET SAB (the channel that Dialog has been cursed with and is unable to get rid of) temporarily, however SET Max should either today or within the next few days.

According to some bloggers all channels except "The Buddhist" have suddenly got scrambled at approximately 6pm last evening (9th Dec 07) and those who tried to get through to the Dialog TV hotline to inquire what the problem was have been unable to do so. The next time there is a problem with Dialog TV transmission we hope that Customer care will not go into hiding and avoid subscribers. Dialog TV should make a formal apology to their subscribers for their tactics last evening.

Please keep us updated on the latest on Dialog TV as the days progress.
